Dalwood Vineyard was planted in 2009/2010 by a group of villagers with an ambition to produce great English wines. We planted 3,000 vines comprising four varieties – Seyval Blanc, Madeleine Angevine, Pinot Noir and Solaris.
Our first vintage was from the 2013 harvest. Our sparkling Brut was enthusiastically received (now all gone of course) and won a Bronze Medal in the Decanter World Wine Awards. We made a Dry White with our 2014 vintage which developed well and won a Silver Medal in the Taste of the West annual tasting.
2015 Brut – Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir
“For a young first release, the wine has a surprisingly rounded palate that ticks all the boxes to produce a crowd-pleasing result. Crisp apples, pear and light citrus flavours up front, with a ripe and fruity mid taste that is almost slightly off-dry in style. Overall, a rather tasty and moreish bottle of sparkling wine.”

2015 Dry White – Solaris and Madeleine Angevine
“A dry, crisp fruity wine with subtle melon and honey middle notes finishing off with green apples and pears. When serving the wine from ‘Cold’ leave for approximately 2 minutes to allow the full flavours to develop. Wonderful with salads, seafood or simply just drinking by itself.”
Duncan Lay, Seriously Good Wine, Lyme Regis.
